Freddie was so excited on Saturday when the mail brought this little fellow, who tells us his name Koloa (a native Hawaiian duck, considered endangered) As you can see Freddie immediately introduced Ko to the hot sauce.
On Sunday the boys came along on a hike up to Makapu'u point to see the lighthouse and the gorgeous view of the windward side of the island.
After the hot hike up the hill the boys sit down for a rest and a chat.
The boys try out the new camera lens.
So here he is having a little swim, we had to find some calm water, which wasn't easy since we had high surf all along the North and Windward sides of the island.
But Ko is a duck after all, so in he went.
Then the boys got a boat ride.
Hmmm, it is hard to paddle when beasties insist on giving you instruction.
They seem to be feeling comfy for their first kayak ride.
Here they go heading out to sea.
I think they might be a bit worried about that surf out there.
Whew, Allen decided they weren't quite ready to surf.
Two tuckered out boys settle down for a good nights sleep. Freddie is one happy bear with his new friend, and wants to say a big THANK YOU to Auntie Jill for sending his new friend.
