Last night and this morning we got some hard rains. So much so that the windward side of the island is under a flash flood warning. Here is the normally dried up stream that runs next to our house.
The waterfalls that feed our stream
You can see it is still raining up there in the mountains
Just getting a closer look of the two falls.
Just a few steps North of our house, you can see they ae getting more rain than we are about 2 miles up the road.
Very misty and rainy up there
A bit more of the waterfalls from a different angle
And even more
The beach just north of us, we live at on that point behind the house you can see on the waterfront.
Oncee upon a time people moored boats here
Everything is in shades of grey today
Notice that some of the trees have no leaves, that is because it is fall here.
More moorings. There definitely used to be more beach here.
The sky seems to be lightening but I am not holding my breath the forecast is for a very rainly day
A lot of snorkeling for squid goes on here
Lava rocks always there to remind us that we are volcano built.
Lots of places for crabs to hide in here
The tide is creeping back in
A more distant view of the beach
The view from under the palm tree
If it weren't for the green grass in the foreground you would think this was black and white. Blue Hawaii is Grey Hawaii this morning
This old tree has certainly seen a few storms.
